What exactly is this Stephen Ministry I’ve been hearing about?

 

Stephen Ministry is a lay caring ministry.  Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists; rather, they are caring Christian friends who can offer a listening ear to help others through the tough times in life.  Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised in their ministry.  If you are going thought a tough time and could use a caring friend, contact Jayne Duncan at 342-6186 or jayned@fumchurch.org.

People are precious, and when they hurt or suffer, they deserve the best care and support we can offer. That's why First UMC has Stephen Ministers. A Friend in Need
