A new year has begun, what does that mean? A new year is an opportunity to refresh ourselves and revisit our commitments.
We believe that each person that comes through our church door on Sunday deserves to be greeted and welcomed.
As members of our church we are committed to keeping our pledge of making disciples for Christ. How do we go
about doing this??
We like to start small, if we can make each individual who walks in our doors feel welcomed and know the presence of the Lord is in this place, we think that is pretty amazing.
I am in charge of getting greeters for the hallways each service and at special functions that are held in our church building.
If you would like to help with this ministry please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or leave your name at the
I have a book with dates and times I try to leave in the hallway by the west door, the welcome desk can sometimes get very busy. Please look at the book and sign up for a day and time that works for you and your family. If you give me your e-mail address. I send out reminders once a week.
This ministry is part of the Connect Team, from this first interaction with our members and guests each Sunday, we can help
them find their place in our church family. By being a greeter you are fulfilling a very necessary position in our new plan of
Connect, Love, Grow, and Serve. We need to connect with each other and help each other grow in Gods’ Love. I ask each
greeter to wear a blue ribbon with their name tag so that guests will know who is available to ask a question of.
If you can remember what it is like to be in a new place you can remember that lost wondering feeling. Let us not let this
happen to our guests.
I understand that volunteering is very scary, but, please consider this very special ministry. This does not take a lot of time
each Sunday, but, it does make a big impact on our members and guests.
Thank you for considering this ministry and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
