CROSSROADS MISSION TRIP 2007
June 16 and we are headed to Utah.
We are helping the people of Utah. Specifically, the people of a
Native American Reservation. Youth will be helping with painting,
scraping, porch building, and whatever else there may be a need for us
to do. We are very excited to begin this mission and help these
people.
We are looking forward to a great experience for the 24 youth and 5
adults involved. Please pray that they will be blessed with
guiding grace as they face the challenges that this week will
bring. Send the Lord's spirit of hope to their lives, that they
may believe in themselves and know that they are needed in this world.
Guide
us, as we continue to grow in our appreciation of the many gifts of
young people, in the ministry opportunities we offer to them, in the
journey of faith we walk with them, in our shared mission as an
community called to discipleship in the world.
June 19
Barb reported that they had
made the trip in fine shape. They did however, take a wrong turn
and had a detour through Arizona. The school that they are
staying in is very nice. They have met their work crews and
worked the first day. Some of the work sites are a distance away
with rough terrain. The crews are busy painting, roofing and
building wheelchair ramps. They are still very excited and have
had no problems yet. They do have very limited phone service.
