Cookson Hills Mission

The Cookson Hills Center has been a significant part of the mission work of the United Methodist Women in Oklahoma since 1948. The primary target groups for their services are rural low-income people in Northeastern Oklahoma, primarily Native Americans of the Cherokee tribe. Cookson Hills is also a home, school, and therapy haven for children who are at-risk. Some church members have recently completed a  mission trip to Cookson Hills. They spent a week working alongside staff members, painting, renovating windows, cleaning, rebuilding, repairing, yard maintenance, and assisting in the Thrift Store.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to have great fellowship, make a difference in somebody’s life, and live out your Christian calling, get involved in a United Methodist mission trip!
